ENGINE
The Big Bear is powered by a 386cc, 4-Stroke Single, Air/Oil Cooled with fan assist, and is one of Yamaha's most reliable ATV engines.

TORQUE
Maximum torque occurs at a low 5,500 rpm for heavy duty use.

TRANSMISSION
5-speed semi-automatic with reverse, designed for extreme conditions where water and mud can't be avoided.

ON-COMMAND 4WD
Push-button servo-controlled "On-Command" system allows you to switch between 2WD and limited-slip 4WD with the simple push of a dash mounted button. Real 4-wheel drive when you need it. This puts you in total control... you decide when you need 4 wheel drive... the machine doesn't decide for you.

IRS
Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) for improved ground clearance and ride comfort.

LIGHTS
Dual 30-watt Krypton multi-reflector sealed headlights with replaceable bulbs provide excellent lighting, prevents water penetration, and simplifies maintenance and reduces cost.

FLOORBOARDS
Steel reinforced plastic floorboards with raised integrated serrated foot pegs and extra-wide evacuation holes for excellent traction regardless of conditions.

TIRES
25-inch ITP Mud Lites with more aggressive tire tread pattern for greater traction in extreme conditions
